Summarised from the excellent guide here for those that have no time (although if you are installing for the first time you should probably have a read to at least know what your doing). I take no responsibility if this borks your system.

The below is necessary only the first time you install:

When asked to choose an X server driver, choose “nvidia”.
An open-source #alternative is the “nv” driver, which has 2D but no 3D capabilities.
When asked to select X server modules, deselect (uncheck) GLCore and dri, and select (check) glx.

I’m currently taking song requests to attempt to mix, since I wish to appease the music afficandos. I can’t promise anything, as I expect to get DnB requests from Ben, and Death Metal/Psychedelic Rock/Avant Garde Metal from Barnes and Jon.
